Thank you for your interest in Mt. Pleasant Preschool. Our preschool offers individualized time, attention, and instruction by providing smaller class sizes and two teachers per classroom.
We offer 3 year old classes (9:00-11:30 a.m.) and a Pre-K class (4-5 yrs, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) with an August 1st cut-off for birth date to determine placement. Classes operate Monday through Friday. Children must be potty trained to attend the Pre-K class. We generally operate on the same schedule as the Vigo County School Corporation and we offer an Extended Care option.
We create hands-on learning experiences for children to develop fundamental skills while exploring and learning. You will see many methods of learning at work in the classroom such as centers, art & discovery activities, reading, math manipulatives and science experiments, all to enhance the experience of each child. Fine motor skills are developed during structured activities and free play time. Our classes seek to develop social skills and character development as children play and interact with others while learning cooperation, kindness and consideration.
We incorporate Bible stories, songs and prayer into our lesson time each week. We strive to show the love of Jesus in all that we do and we encourage children to discover God and his love for them. Contact Sara Marks if you have any questions Monday through Friday at 812-232-4808.
