Dennis Ticen
lead Pastor
Dennis began serving Mount Pleasant as the Lead Pastor in 2015. He originally hails from Sedalia, IN. He graduated from Ball State University and later from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, KY. He serves as the primary teaching pastor on Sunday mornings. He has an avid love for Star Wars and enjoys a good Marvel movie. Among his other passions are helping groups discover the beauty and the excitement of the Holy Land and other Biblical sites. He lives with his wife, Cathy, and their dog, Barney, has two adult children, Christopher and Rachel (who is married to Chase) and one grandson, Easton.

Rick swan
Associate Pastor
Rick began serving as the Associate Pastor in 1998. Originating from Terre Haute, IN, he served in various capacities with the Federal Prison as well as with the Terre Haute Fire Department before embracing a call into ministry. He serves as the point person for our care ministries, but also spends his time working in jail and recovery ministries. He enjoys traveling with his wife in their free time. He lives with his wife, Sheri, and their dog, Bella. Rick has several adult children and lots of grandkids that he loves to treat to ice cream.

Ashley joined the MTP Staff Team in 2026. Ashley has experience as an Operations Manager and a Social Media specialist and brings a great spirit to the office. She is wife to Chris and mother to Addison and Peyton. Their family has been attending MTP for some time now and Ashley also volunteers in Small Wonders on Sundays.

Jess Berryhill
STUDENT & SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTER
Jess started serving at Mount Pleasant as a volunteer in 2009, but then shifted into her current role in 2011. She grew up in Greenfield, IN and graduated from Anderson University. She provides leadership for our Student Ministry as well as our Special Needs Ministry. She enjoys backpacking and finding an adventure in everyday life. Jess lives at Terre Haute Friendship House alongside a crew of college students and young adults with disabilities. She also lives with her dog, Cooper.

CHILDREN'S MINISTry co-DIRECtor
Jessica has worked with our preschool for 5+ years as both a teacher and Director of Community Engagement on our Preschool Leadership Team. She comes to us with a degree in Early Childhood Education and experience as a director in children's ministry. She is married to Mike who serves as a Battalion Chief at Honey Creek Fire. They have a 9-year-old son, Lukas, whom she homeschools. She is familiar with and excited about the mission of children’s ministry at MTP.

Mt Pleasant has been Sylvia's home church her entire life. She has a deep love for people and a heart for encouraging others, which has shaped her path in ministry and leadership alike. Sylvia brings a rich history in children's ministries, along with two decades of experience in organizational leadership. She's excited to join our team and help create a loving, encouraging, and safe space for our children to grow in Christ. Sylvia is supported by her loving husband, Greg, and is mom to two sweet children — her daughter, Hayden, and their newest blessing, Levi!

JoSH PRUITT
Worship Minister
Josh has grown up at Mount Pleasant, having attended preschool here. He has been active in leading worship in many places, including with small groups, children's ministry, Grace Unlimited and the local Chrysalis community. He has served on our praise team for a number of years, playing various instruments and supplying lead vocals as well. He has also played on stage with Phil Wickham, leading 10,000 people in worship. He graduated from Indiana State University and has been on staff since 2023. He is married to Hannah. They have 3 goats and 3 dogs on their farm.

Amy Lohman
Treasurer
Amy has attended Mount Pleasant since 2008. She serves as our treasurer and manages payments, bills, and other administrative tasks. Amy enjoys gardening, cooking, spending time with her kids and grandkids, and traveling throughout the country. Amy lives with her husband, Lee. They have several adult children and many grandchildren.
