Making Disciples for the Transformation of the World.

Your giving is an opportunity to continue what God has been doing through Mount Pleasant for nearly 190 years. We exist to make disciples for the transformation of the world, but without your giving, that wouldn't be possible. Whether it is through dynamic programming for children and students or making a difference in the greater community through serving, your giving makes a lasting impact in our church, community, nation, and world.

My Two Cents

Jason Rankin

"Mount Pleasant has impacted our lives in so many ways.  It's hard to boil it down to one story.  I am a youth small group leader.  On a recent backpacking trip to Pictured Rocks, we came across a cove where the water was crashing violently onto the shore.  Then 500 ft. away was a creek with a bridge where you couldn't hear Lake Superior, just the quiet flow of the creek. I was able to get the kids to hear the difference and relate it to life. If we focus on God, He will quiet the chaos in our lives. Many of our youth were impacted by this analogy. Without this trip, moments like these wouldn't happen."

"I'm also a father & stepfather, and Mount Pleasant has impacted our family so much. Our middle child plays guitar in the praise band.  He is just learning, but they accept him, and include him in all their performances. Our oldest is the alternate drummer for the praise band. Our youngest, who is very shy, has used Youth Sunday twice to give talks about her struggles. MTP has given them a voice in a world that doesn't. Mount Pleasant gives them a place to fit in. With so many youth looking for a place, ours have found one."

The Tipton Family

"MTP has impacted our family in many ways.  First off, we can't say enough good things about the children's & youth ministry.  Ginger and Jess have unmatched God given talents with our younger generation.  Bible Explorers has been one of our favorite programs. Two of our children have been through the program so far and it has been amazing for them.  They really learned a lot. Another way MTP has impacted our family is the how the youth combine fellowship and discipleship. They spend hours per week in fellowship discussing how to face the world through God's eyes in everyday life, just what middle schoolers need. Then put it into practice with various projects that give back to our community. It is truly impactful for the youth to have these hands on experiences. Combining the word of God at an early age and real-life theory to practice has shaped our own children's lives to trust and grow closer to God now, and as they get older."

  • Yes! As long as you include your mailing address and information when giving, we will mail out a giving statement in January of the following year. If you don't receive one, please let us know so we can get that to you. If giving in person, be sure to place your cash in a giving envelope to be sure that we properly attribute that to you.

  • You can give with your credit or debit card. There's a small fee involved with any kind of online transaction with a debit or credit card. You can choose to offset those fees when giving online. Otherwise, you can give via ACH transfer through our online portal, via online bill pay, or in the offering boxes with cash or check located at church to avoid the fees.

  • Your giving helps to ensure the many programs and outreach opportunities of Mount Pleasant continue throughout the year. Also, it helps keep the building operational for the number of groups and people who use it throughout the week. We would encourage you to check out our impact report to get a glimpse on how your giving makes a difference.
