We know that visiting a new church can be intimidating and trying to find to a church home that meets the needs of you and your family can be exhausting. We hope that Mount Pleasant can be that place for you, but even if it isn't, we're grateful for your willingness to come worship with us. We consider it a privilege to call you our guest. To better serve you, we want to walk you through a typical Sunday morning here at Mt. Pleasant.
What to Know Before You Go
Arriving
We are located at 3050 E. Davis Drive in Terre Haute, IN. We have two Sunday worship services at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing. Some will be dressed up, but the majority of those that attend services wear more casual clothes. Either is totally fine. You'll enter service through the set of double doors under the awning on the south side of the building. If you have kids, you'll head straight through the lobby and down the stairs at the end to check them in. We have programming on Sunday mornings for kids (birth-5th grade). Our students (6th-12th grade) attend service with their families. Many serve by helping with the livestream and playing in the praise band.
Worship and Teaching
During our worship services, our worship band sings contemporary songs. Our pastors teach 3-5 week series on either topical issues or through a passage or book of the Bible. Through relevant teachings that provide historical context, it's our prayer that the scriptures will be brought to life in new ways. A study guide will be provided each week to allow you discuss with your family or small group as well as providing you scripture readings for the following week.
