I taught K-12 special education for 13 years. This summer I will begin working on an early childhood leadership graduate certificate at Indiana State University. I look forward to serving the staff and students at MTP and helping them develop and grow.
I am married to Craig and we have two children, Ivy and Harlan, who keep us active.

Kelly joined our Preschool staff fall 2023. She serves in Kidz Connection with MTP's children's ministry. Her favorite bible story is the Good Samaritan, and her favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 4:32. She began as a substitute and has moved into a teacher role.

Hi everyone! I’m so thankful for the life God has given me and the calling on my heart. I’m a Christian woman who has spent many years serving others through childcare and nursing, including 5 years as a preschool teacher. I love watching children grow, getting to know their unique personalities, and building strong relationships with their families. When I’m not working, you’ll find me enjoying quiet cabin life in the country with my fur babies, soaking in God’s creation. I’m blessed with an amazing family, two daughters, and a bonus child who keep my life full of love, laughter, and purpose. I'm grateful to be here and excited to keep growing in faith and in all that God has ahead.

I love working with children, helping them learn and experience new things. I’m a mom of 4 kids: Jed, Katie, Sadie and Heidi. I enjoy teaching, and taught second grade at Eastside Christian Academy for two years, as well as homeschooling my kids in the past. I love gardening and animals. We have 2 dogs, 7 cats, and 4 rabbits.

I have attended and been employed at MTP Church as a custodian since October 2022. I also work in the preschool Extended Care and serve as a substitute teacher. My family and I have been members of the church since January 2023. I love plants and crafting. I live with my husband, Eric, my grandson, Anthony, and my 4 dogs.

I am a graduate from Ivy Tech Community College representing the class of 2022 with an Associates degree in early childhood education. This will be my second year teaching at Mount Pleasant preschool as an extended care provider. I have also served at Maryland Community Church on Sundays as well as small group child care and I have assisted my mom at a daycare she has had in her home.

Ricky Meissel-Beard
I volunteer at Maryland Community Church with kids ministry in the pre-K area. I also volunteer in the pre-K class at Fuqua Elementary where I read to them, play with them and help them during lunch. At my church I pray with the kids during prayer times and I play games with them. I also help them in small group time after the Bible story. I have one fur-baby boy named Max. I have a lovely honey bear I talk about all the time. I am excited to hang out with these awesome blessed kids.

Hi, my name is Adyson. I graduated from Covington High School in 2025, I go to Union Christian Church where I help with the babies and toddlers on Sundays and Wednesdays. I look forward to helping your kids and watching them grow!
